July 1st kicked off several kit releases from clubs around the world. Many of these shirts were leaked and appeared online as rumors swirled. For the 2020/21 season, Rangers makes the switch to kit manufacturer Castore with the release of their new shirts. First up is the Home kit in the classic Rangers’ royal blue with white and red accents on the sleeves and collar. A wave pattern symbolizing the Blue Sea of Ibrox is also found on the shirt. Next up is the newly debuted Away kit from Derby County in a simple yet smart design. The Opal Blue kit is accompanied by dark blue sleeves with Ice Green tipping to the front shoulders. One of the surprises of the newly debuted kits is from FC Utrecht whose new Home shirt can rival most. 2020 brings a simple design for the Dutch club, however the addition of the T-Mobile sponsor and gold detailing from the club’s crest work perfectly with the white and red color scheme. Many were on the fence when the first images of Borussia Dortmund’s new 2020/21 Home kit leaked and it has certainly raised some eyebrows. For a clue so notoriously known for their classy kits, this is one most didn’t see coming. Dortmund’s signature yellow is paired with a black lighting pattern and a new sponsor. Continuing with the Bundesliga, Borussia Monchengladbach also make their Home debut with an interesting new kit. You’ll immediately notice a striking diamond pattern in a gradient-like design. PSV swaps Umbro for Puma for the 2020/21 season along with some minor tweaks for their new Home kit. The shirt retains the classic vertical stripes but adds white trimming with a black outline to the sleeves and collar. A relatively safe release from PSV that should make their fans pleased. Sporting Lisbon joins on the new kit release fun with their Home shirt. Manufactured by Macron, this year seems minor updates to the kit with modified stripes going across the chest along with white trim on the sleeves and collar. Fans of the new Home kit from Sporting can order theirs today here.
