Release Round-Up August 1st: Liverpool, Rangers, Portsmouth & More

With Liverpool’s title winning campaign coming to an end, the attention was turned to their 2020/21 kit release. Today Liverpool officially unveiled their new Home shirt to accompany a whole host of other releases.

Liverpool makes their Nike debut in a design that’ll be commonly seen next season across the world. The Home kit features red with white accents on the collar followed by green trim. Look for it to be released next week with the pre-order page popping up on Nike.

One of the bright spots for next season’s kit releases has been Rangers who made the jump to kit manufacturer Castore. We were impressed with their Home shirt and the Away kit is just as good. The shirt comes in white with a combination of navy and orange sprinkled throughout. It’s simple but executed perfectly. Purchase it today from the Rangers online store.

It’s been nearly a decade since we last saw Portsmouth playing in the Premier League with the likes of David James, Glen Johnson, and others taking the pitch each week. Despite being stuck in England’s League One another year, their new Home kit is worth a shot. Call us suckers for a collared shirt, but next season’s shirt comes in blue with a white collar to match the Nike logo and club crest. The pattern on the shirt is subtle enough to pull off casually. Aston Villa narrowly avoid relegation and secured a place in the Premier League giving their fans some hope of retaining their best players. Next season brings a new look for Villa as they roll out a Home kit in the traditional team colors with contrasting sleeves and an updated sponsor who also appears on Everton shirts. It’s now available here.

Wrapping up today’s releases is the Home and Away debut from Spartak Moscow. The Home shirt is rather simple with a white stripe across the front with the club’s crest and black accents. While it might be easy to miss, you’ll also find a pattern on the front. The Away kit features a similar design with the addition of a collar. The Home and Away shirts are now available.
